When the contractors of the Museum of the project brought onboard AFI to build an internal façade for the lobby of the museum, AFI took a great initiative to bring the adaptive mould technology to UAE, which makes Advanced Fiberglass Industries a proud company to be the first in the gulf region to use this technology.
“Without Adapa it might have taken a couple of more years to complete the job.”, AFI
Adapa provided wonderful solution to the most challenging architectural work being the world’s leading supplier of intelligent reconfigurable mould for curved surfaces. AFI gained a great competitive advantage through Adapa’s key features.
Adapa’s rapid production speed helped AFI to make 230 unique interior calligraphy panels for the interior façade in less time and reduced workspace.
The adaptive mould membrane is absolutely reusable for a thousand castings which also in other hand reduce the wastage and the cost in the best way.
The main challenge for the engineering team was the dimensional tolerances, but Adapa surprised everyone as the tolerance of the complete interior calligraphic lobby was within +/-2 mm after the 3d scan.
It was really amazing, and we are very proud to have the machine, without Adapa it might have taken a couple of more years to complete the job.
The quotes carved on the calligraphy panels are from His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, about future and legacy form.
