Adapa A/S has completed assessment of the adaptive mould technology for compliance to CE marking rules

Our adaptive mould technology has been third-party assessed and deemed to meet EU safety, health and environmental protection requirements.

Adapa A/S is now able to provide customers with CE marked adaptive moulds and provide a CE declaration of conformity document according to legislations in Europe based on the third-party assessment.

Technology compliance in a global market

For other markets, Adapa A/S will provide a declaration document stating the compliance between the CE and respective market legislations.

The international documentation approach depends on market regulations and local differences in power supply. As an example, in USA the UL standard is used for the non-electrical hardware whereas the electrical system and control unit will be based on local power-supply or customer specific setup. This means that customers in USA can be provided with a UL compliance declaration document covering the adaptive mould except for the electrical system, that according to UL standards will be an on-demand customer and machine specific delivery.

Low risk investment in new opportunities

The adaptive moulds for curved surfaces from Adapa A/S are part of the Global Industry 4.0 trend where new technology is used for cloud-manufacturing, robotic automation and mass-customization.

“Investing in new technologies is traditionally considered as a high-risk activity.” Says Claus Løkke, CEO Adapa A/S. “With our new international conformity documentation approach, Adapa A/S takes yet another step towards positioning our technology as a mature low-risk investment that is well documented and proven in use by our customers.”

The adaptive moulds from Adapa A/S are used by fabricators to fabricate curved panels in concrete, GFRC, glass fiber, gypsum, thermo plastics, composite materials etc., and eliminates the use and waste of one-off moulds for most of the curved surfaces.
